Singer and composer VERONICA MORTENSEN released her second album "HAPPINESS is not included" at Stunt Records in April 2007. The album has been very well received by the critics and was chosen for "Album of the week" by the Danish national radio (DR P2). The music was recorded at Nilento studio in Gothenborg Sweden and the album contains her own material, in the area between jazz and pop.
Born in Aarhus (Denmark), VERONICA was raised by her mother in Athens (Greece) and was 20 years old, when she moved back to Denmark to pursue a singing career. She's been performing on several cd's and TV-shows, both as a lead singer and as a background vocalist. She's been a popular guest with the Klüvers Big Band and has appeared in rockmusicals like "A tribute to the Blues Brothers", "Another Brick In The Wall" and "Hair", which played both Copenhagen and Paris.
As well as VERONICA's second album, her first album "Pieces In A Puzzle" (2003), got very fine reviews by the press and was chosen for "Album of the week" by the Danish national radio (DR P4). The album generated concerts in Denmark and abroad, among them at the "Bangkok Heineken Jazzfestival" (Thailand) and at "Ladies' Jazzfestival" in Gdynia (Poland). Beside her own music/band, VERONICA has for the last 2 years also been appearing with Peter Vuust Quartet, with whom she recorded the cd "Image Of Falling" (Imogena Records 2005).
