Listen to the small still voice inside your soul

About Me

Creating new styles of music by mixing beds of modern ambient styles along with contemporary or classical instruments is my favorite part of writing music. Working in Film and Media is an exciting market but sometimes I get the urge to just create something that I like, which is why I am involved with music. It gives me a chance to be sort of a chameleon of music. I like to write music that hopefully gives the listener an emotion they can connect with. Over the years I have learned that music can provide healing to the soul...that's why we listen to it all the time.Scoring music for the Film/Media market and producing unique styles helps to keep things fresh for my situation. I've included a few pieces that I've written for some Independent Films I've worked on. I'm currently focusing on writing classical music. Of all the styles to write this is the one I keep coming back to.So this musical journey has taken me many places and has forced me to do things I never though I'd do. Sometimes when writing music for hire you have to fit into a 'box'. So when your soul wants to be creative in your own special way you have to put that aside to listen to the 'money'. Something I want to get away from. My roots are based in rock, blues, jazz and classical. At this point I have considered going back to that since I've been away for a long time. We'll see. ---------------------------------------------------- My desire is to help people cope in this sometimes crazy and unpredictable life. Life has proved many times to be a mysterious journey in which you have some control at times and at other times no control at all. So, onward we go into the unknown having a glimpse of what is ahead without knowing what truly will happen.
