About Me

Born in july 2007 to release the undiscovered stuff of "Luigi & Riccardo Project" and the premiere of their album "Cannot Be Easier", Passetto is a digital record label created by the two Russo Brothers: Alessandro (aka Slok), a mainstream dj/producer of Tech House music , and Luigi (aka Gigio), musician, vintage keys "fun-a-tic" and vinyl (60's to 80's music) collector.
Our purpose is to follow the lovers & makers of simple and "natural" music rooted to the ground of good old-fashioned italian scores such as Jazz, Orchestral, Chill Out, Popular, Cheesy, Funk and Latina, played with the original instruments like the Hammond organ and the electro-mechanical pianos (Fender/Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Hohner) to reach the nice atmospheres of "Dolce Vita" or to be just a background for visuals such as movies and tv; but first of all, short and catchy tunes for roadtrips and relaxing timeouts.
We hope to join all the fans of this styles, supporting them, and release their works for a worldwide distribution.
Luigi & Riccardo first album, "Cannot Be Easier" has finally see the light and will be available on the greatest digital music shops within march 20th, 2008.
Just two friends. And their love for "that" kind of music. Vintage keys played by organ maestro Riccardo "Ricky" Burattini under the psychocheesylounge suggestions, groovemaking, producing and mixing of Luigi "Gigio" Russo came out in this home-made project, in which the old tines of the Fender Rhodes piano meets the ultimate software-based music makers, ALL in a simple way... a melody that everyone can whistle, inspired by the greatest italian score composers of the "boom" years (1950/1970) played straightly over a drumloop, then arranged in a classic, pleausurable and smiley style. Advisable as a good background beat for relaxing moments, lounge breaks and long open-spaced road trips.
All tracks written and arranged by Luigi Russo e Riccardo Burattini, except for track 8 (written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David) and 17 (written by Astor Piazzolla).
The music for this album was recorded at Bourbon Home Studios, Ancona (Italy), in different times between autumn 2000 and summer 2003, when also the final mixes were completed.
