Stelvio Cipriani is an Italian film composer, famous for his epic and moving scores. Stelvio, along with composer Bruno Nicolai, was famous for his use of fast staccato harpsichord music. Stelvio also utilized carribean rythms and synthesizer sounds to create his own unique compositions.
Stelvio was born in Rome in 1937, and began playing piano at a young age. He attended the Saint Cecilia Conservatory were he recieved his diploma in piano study and composition. He then moved to the United States to study jazz. Stelvio is now in his seventies and still continues to create scores.
