The Agrofunk project, set in San Marzano Sul Sarno (SA), starts from the Coppola brothers' intuition: they analyze the roots of the South Italian folk music, going all the way back to the "tammuriate" (an ancient and popular dance), and revise it in a modern funk key. Soon "Tien Man", first Agrofunk self-produced cd, is born: in these 15 tracks, a catchy and contagious reprise of the James Brownfunk is combined with strong protest lyrics, belonging to the psicological and social uneasiness of the South Italian people facing problems and diseases who grow heavier and stronger everyday.
