This page is under construction, so bear with me. Please read below, I need your help!!!
This is Duane Morris (Duaniac) of Dismal Records. I am putting together this page for a few different reasons. First and foremost to support the memory of Cleveland's greatest death metal band BLOOD OF CHRIST! Secondly, Oct. 2007 marks the 10 year anniversary of founding member Tom Rojack's untimely death. Before his death I acquired all existing master tapes and was given the verbal ok to release the stuff on CD/LP. It has taken me way too long to make this happen... but now at the 10 year anniversary I've begun to piece everything together and put the ball in motion. Other than having the master tapes, and original copies of all the releases, I really don't have many materials to work with. I'm looking for as much help as I can get finding materials such as band photos, live photos, concert flyers, biographies, or any other information. If you have anything PLEASE don't hesitate to mail me at this account. Thanks in advance, and enjoy the page!Blood Of Christ was formed in the winter of 1990 by Tom Rojack (guitar/vocals) and Joe Towardzik (drums). By summer of 1991 they found Tim Datsun (bass) and recorded their first 5 song demo. This demo was very limited and sold out almost immediately. Shortly after the recording of the first demo, Rojack parted ways with Datsun & Towardzik (due to musical differences), and recruited new members Matt Sorg (guitar), Randy Scott (bass), and Joey Capobianca (drums). With this line up they were offered the chance to do a 7"ep for Seraphic Decay Records, a well known local record label with great international distribution. The 7"ep was recorded at the end of '91 but wasn't released until July of 1992. In Shortly after the release of the 7" Joey Capobianca parted ways with the band and temporarily replaced by Jim Konya (NunSlaughter, Minch, etc.) Jim filled in for a show or two and the drum position was eventually filled by Rob Newlin, formerly of the band BURIAL (FL). In early '93 a four song promo was recorded and only released to close friends & record labels. The band was one of the first ever to sign with Necropolis Records, but sadly split up before a record was ever recorded. Tom Rojack joined DECREPIT soon after, and eventually Matt Sorg did as well (find more info on the Decrepit page). Matt Sorg (guitar) & Rob Newlin (drums) later formed the melodic black/death metal band FROM THE DEPTHS, and were joined by other members of DECREPIT. Matt Sorg currently plays for the band RINGWORM.
