THE ATROCITY EXHIBIT

There are no worse than me in Hell...

About Me

"Punishing and relentlessly brutal music... Combining cruelly scraping riffs, jackhammer drum bursts and demented vocals, each of its six tracks is a bludgeoning assault on the senses, barely pausing for a second's breath... utterly furious in their delivery"
- KERRANG!"Weilding monolithic chunks of the most sludge-like doom to intense grindcore barrages in a stylistic blend which works successfully... Thunderously heavy slow passages... Good stuff!"
- ZERO TOLERANCE"Scathing, blasting, screaming bloody mutilating grindcore… Relentlessly intense gore-ripping oldschool thrashing, dooming, sludging, fast/slow grindcore… Yelling and guttural pus-bursting and speed-riffing. I like it! Extreme metal, no messing… Recommended proper oldschool extreme metal!"
- ORGAN - 'Demo Of The Week'"Right up there with other essential bands that every metalhead should listen to... it works, and it works damn well!"
4.8 / 5 - BornInBlood.co.uk"They are one of the best grind/doom bands out there in the underground circuit. If you like your metal heavy, and face breakingly hard then I recommend you check out The Atrocity Exhibit!"
- THE METAL UNDERGROUND - 'Voted Third Best Unsigned Band of 2007''Band Of The Week' - Maz Star, TOTAL ROCK RADIOTHE ATROCITY EXHIBIT are a grindcore/doom band from Northampton (and Milton Keynes and Birmingham). They share a band member with Midlands sludge/grind machine OUT FOR BLOOD ( The Devil Knows You're Dead Records ), and play songs that are fast, slow, and sometimes both.

In September 2007 the band were featured on the 'Straight Outta Tha Ground' compilation CD ( In Tha Ground Records ) alongside bands such as WAKING THE CADAVER (USA), ABACINATE (USA), CADAVER MUTILATOR (Italy) and MY CROSS TO BARE ( Seige Of Amida Records ).

TAE finished 2007 with news of being voted third place in The Metal Underground's UK Unsigned Bands competition, which was a positive end to a year otherwise filled with constant setbacks - including four line-up changes and two complete set re-writes in just a few months.

2008 sees The Atrocity Exhibit return to full strength, kicking things off by releasing their long delayed Self-Titled EP featuring six slabs of blasting grindcore and solid riffing doom. Originally recorded in a freezing cold garage in Milton Keynes at the tail-end of 2006 and featuring ex-member Glen Pywell (now of UK death stalwarts GUTWORM , Anticulture Records ) on bass. All the vocals were re-written and re-recorded once the new stable line-up was found, and the whole CD was then re-mixed and re-mastered ready for release.

The band are now playing as many gigs as possible in the coming months, with plans to record material for a new EP or full-length over Summer.

Some bands we've played with: Extreme Noise Terror , Gutworm , Ted Maul , Romeo Must Die , Reth , Anger Management , Kingsize Blues , Slit , Duracell , The Magpyes , Out For Blood , Godsize , 1000 Hertz , ArnoCorps , Carpathian , Centurion , Fell Silent .
