Band Details
Evisorax are a 3-piece Death/Grind band based in Wigan, England. Formed in the spring of 2005 through a mutual love of all things fast and heavy, their influences include Napalm Death, Narcosis, All Out War, Suicide Silence and Circle of Dead Children.
In February 2006 the band recorded a 4 track demo entitled ‘Eschatology’ (theology and philosophy concerned with the ultimate fate of the world) which captured the band’s harsh sound, albeit with a flawed production. However, the band’s intent and ability was still recognised and the demo received positive reviews in magazines such as Terrorizer (Issue 154) and Zero Tolerance (Issue 14) as well as the respected webzine Raw Nerve Promotions.
Following a year of hard work writing and playing gigs across the north of England, Evisorax entered Studio 6 in Swindon to work with the highly respected producer Stu McKay (The Seventh Cross, My Cross To Bare, Decimate). The result is ‘Enclave’; machinegun-fire drumming, blistering riffing, devastating breakdowns and misanthropic vocals all combine to create a truly heavy listening experience with high production values and technical musicianship.
'Enclave' immediately caught the attention of respected underground label Thirty Days of Night Records who will be releasing the EP around September 2007. Evisorax have played with a slew of quality bands including The Berzerker (Earache), Narcosis (Calculated Risk) and Tangaroa (Anticulture).
