Limbic Riot were formed in Stockport late 2002 and split in August 2008, they were influenced by British heavy metal titans like Black Sabbath, Iron Monkey and Raging Speedhorn. The band recorded a 5 track demo in the summer of 2003, receiving positive reviews in Rock Sound Magazine (Issue 54) and several zines.
The band then underwent various line-up changes over the years whilst contributing tracks to 'Kill Your Management' 5 & 6 (Psychophonic Records).
After experimenting with different styles the band then focused on writing depressive sludge in the vein of Grief/Noothgrush.
The four piece recorded a live DVD in Wakefield and then layed down their strongest track 'Grey Beach' at Full Stack Studio for a proposed split 7" on Force Fed Records. However, the band came to an end shortly after playing Heavyfest IV in Bradford alongside Charger, Lazarus Blackstar, Black Sun and Volition.
