I'm Ian. I've also been known by many other names, including: Finley, Viking, Cube, Fin-bulwinter, Beard, Fin-land, Fin-laeca and Fin-troll, but you can call me whatever you prefer (within reason).
I play drums in a number of bands, the most notable of which being:
Wodensthrone - Heathen Black Metal. We have now sold out of our self-released 7" split with Niroth, one of the greatest bands to come out of the UK ever, and are now awaiting the release of 'Over the Binding of the Waves', a split with Folkvang from Belarus, through Ancient Nation Records. We're also working on a full length album which will be coming out through Bindrune Records, hopefully in the new year.
That Hideous Strength - Progressive Death Metal. We'll soon be finished the EP and, although the drums are being done with Drum Kit From Hell, is sounding amazing, and we hope to be playing live much more!
Shitstrike - Nasum-worshiping grindcore. What more can I say? Nasum were the best grindcore band there will ever be!
I also contribute to Terrorizer Magazine , which is perfect for me as it gives me a legitimate excuse for forcing my musical prejudices upon the world. Muahahahaha...
As you may have noticed, music is my life! Hence I have recently launched my own record label... more news on that as it develops.
However, I'm currently working as el phone-bitch for a bunch of jewish bankers... not ideal, but it brings in the pennies :-)
