Perry - violinist

He was born in Lamia (Greece) on the 29th of January 1981. He began having violin lessons at the age of 7 at the Municipal Conservatory of Lamia with Pr. George Stalimeros and from 1995 he carried on with Pr. Franc Seshtani. On the 31st of June 2002 he succeeded in his final exam and acquired his Violin Diploma with “EXCELLENT”. He has attended music seminars under George Chatzinikos, Pedro Cortinas, Stefano Vegnareli and Martin Kosh. He has also worked with various maestros such as Zbigniew Preisner, Peter Lukas Graf, Renato Serio, Marcello Rota, Antonio Cipriani, Alexander Mirat, Elias Erzeni, Simeon Kogan and Alexander Agrafiotis. In April of 2002 he was given credits for his performance in the Strings Competition of the Greek Cultural Centre “Philon”. He is a member of the Lamia Symphony Orchestra, with which he has performed as a soloist many times. The most important one was in May of 1998 at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron). He is also a member of the Volos Symphony Orchestra, with which he performed A. Schnittke’s “Moz-Art á la Haydn”. He has also performed with the Orchestra of the Music Department of the University of Athens, with the Orchestra of the Music Academy of Saluzzo (Italy) (Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale di Saluzzo) and with the International Orchestra of Italy (Orchestra Internazionale d’Italia). He has teached as a Violin Teacher at the State Music School of Lamia and the Municipal Conservatory of Lamia. He participates in various ensembles of chamber music. He has graduated from the Department of Physical Education and Athletics of the University of Athens with a degree in “Sports Management”.
