About Me
Hara Kefala was born in Patras,Greece.She acquired her training at the Arts Educational Schools and at Urdang Academy in London (musical theatre performer). She is also a graduate of D. Grigoriadou’s Professional School of Dance in Athens (teacher’s diploma in classical ballet) and of Varna Dance Academy (diploma ‘vaganova-superieur’). Moreover, she studied classical singing with M. Paschali and was awarded her diploma with first class honours, distinction and 1st prize. She has obtained piano and music theory diplomas, both with first class honours.Her theatre credits include: Karvela’s – Sidera’s “Daemons†(Daimones) at Attikon Theatre (dir. R. She appeared with the Orchestra of Colours performing Eugenia Manolidou’s songs and also recorded the disks “Greek Hymnsâ€, “Epos†together with Bohuslav Martinu Symphony Orchestra and “Archetypon†(recording with members of the Athens State Orchestra – composed/conducted by E. Manolides).From 2003 to 2006 she appeared at the “Train in Rouf†Theatre, where in collaboration with Tatiana Lygari she performed leading parts at the musicals “Under Steam†(Ip’ Atmon) (2003-2005), “A Gift – The Symmetry of Harmony†(Charisma - I simmetria tis Armonias), which was presented as part of the Athens 2004 Cultural Programme and “Miss Music would you like to dance?†(Kiria mousiki xoreuete) (dir. T. Lygari).In 2006-2007 she appeared next to Giorgos Marinos at the show “Marinos Academyâ€, written by M. Reppas – Th. Papathanasiou and musical guidance by Dimitra Galani.Since 2005 she is studying next to Nikos Mamangakis and has participated in the recordings of his latest works: “Earini Simfonia†in poetry by G. Ritsos, “Erotas Epiousios†(N. Theophilou), “The Caucasian Chalk Circleâ€(O kyklos me tin kimolia),(B. Brecht – I. Kampanellis). She has also appeared in his concerts at the Athens Concert Hall(Megaron Mousikis Athinon), (March 2007) and at Petra Theatre (May 2007).In July 2007 she appeared as soloist at Kounadi’s musical performance “Tsilies kai mia nyxtes†which took place at Odeon of Herodes Atticus (dir. P. Papadopoulos), with George Dalaras, Estoudiantina N. Ionias Magnisias and other soloists.Since September 2007 she is teaching singing technique at National Theatre of Greece’s Drama School.In December 2007 she appeared at the Athens Concert Hall(Megaron Mousikis Athinon) at the musical performance “Strange, isn’t it?†(Paraxeno den einai?), music composed by Thanos Mikroutsikos and written by M. Papagianni(dir.S.Mikroutsikou-P.Larkou).
In January 2008 she will appear at Aggelon Vhma at the
solo musical performance ''Mia Hara...sto fouagie''(Dir.K.Damatis)From the 14th of March till the 1st of June she wiil appear at Aggelon Vhma at ''Voices''-four monologues by Allan Bennett(dir.K.Damatis)-''The chance of her life''-with S.Smyrnaiou,D.Karabetsh and O.Tournaki.
