I am as the flute

About Me

I am as the flute, and the music in me is from thee; I am as the mountain and the echo in me is from thee. I am as pieces of chess engaged in victory and defeat: my victory and defeat is from thee, O thou whose qualities are comely! Who am I, O Thou soul of our souls, that I should remain in being beside thee? Me and my existences are really non-existence; thou art the absolute Being which manifests the perishable. I am are a lion, but a lion on a banner: because of the wind I am rushing onward from moment to moment. My onward rush is visible, and the wind is unseen: may that which is unseen not fail from me! My wind whereby I am moved and my being are of thy gift; my whole existence is from thy bringing.

My Interests

"Obtaining Enlightenment and domestic tranquility:" Enligtenment has no definite form or nature by which it can manifest itself; so in Enlightenment itself, there is nothing to be Enlightened. Enlightenment exists solely because of delusion and ignorance; if they disappear, so will Enlightenment. And the opposite is true also: there is no Enlightenment apart from delusion and ignorance; no delusion and ignorance apart from Enlightenment..~Buddha

I'd like to meet:

"Fools rush in, where wise men never go, But wise men never fall in love, so how are they to know?" So with that said, I guess my purpose has been stated, I'm looking for someone that doesn't think love is overrated!

Music:

For it is believed that the spirit of love when offered in the essence of true friendship can like the music of a finely crafted instrument or composition bring relationships closer together. http://66.45.233.12/ILoveIndia(PartII).mp3

Movies:

(Wilde)"The Love that dare not speak its name" in this century is such a great affection of an elder for a younger man as there was between David and Jonathan, such as Plato made the very basis of his philosophy, and such as you find in the sonnets of Michelangelo and Shakespeare. It is that deep, spiritual affection that is as pure as it is perfect. It dictates and pervades great works of art like those of Shakespeare and Michelangelo, and those two letters of mine, such as they are. It is in this century misunderstood, so much misunderstood that it may be described as the "Love that dare not speak its name," and on account of it I am placed where I am now. It is beautiful, it is fine, it is the noblest form of affection. There is nothing unnatural about it. It is intellectual, and it repeatedly exists between an elder and a younger man, when the elder man has intellect, and the younger man has all the joy, hope and glamour of life before him. That it should be so, the world does not understand. The world mocks at it and sometimes puts one in the pillory for it."....-Wilde

Books:

I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz, or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off. I love you as certain dark things are to be loved, in secret, between the shadow and the soul.I love you as the plant that never blooms but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers; thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance, risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride; I love you in this way because I don't know any other way of loving..But this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep, it is your eyes that close...-PN

Heroes:

Knowing love, I can allow all things to come and go, to be as supple as the wind and to face all things with great courage. My heart is a open as the sky.-Maya
