I am an award winning 3D digital artist and illustrator living in Scotland with my wife and our young son. My specialisation is generating 3D renders with a traditional media aesthetic to create playful, unsentimentalised , evocative and dreamlike images for children and adults alike.

Clients include:Madonna , Domino Records , Warner Brothers , Sony , British Airways, Paulo Coelho , BBC TV , Elle Magazine, The Times and many others.

I see my 3D illustration work as a linear continuation of my pre-digital work. Maintaining a simultaneous respect and disrespect for the medium of 3D is important to me for within all it's technical challenges, the essence of what constitutes a pleasing image remains the same for both digital and traditional mediums.

When working I enjoy discarding all unnecessary detail to leave only that which is required to tell the story and set the atmosphere of the piece. I work from thumbnail sketches and rarely elaborate on the essence of that sketch. The lack of perfection and intuition contained within the sketch is then translated back into 3D.
When the technical complexity behind an image becomes invisible and the work feels relaxed I know I have achieved my personal goal. You can see examples of what my sketch work looks like here http://www.myspace.com/strawberry_watkins .

Those involved in the 3D and 3d illustration community may also know me under the username of Boozy Floozie where I am recognised for my original, personal and idiosyncratic approach to creating complete illustrations within the software ZBrush. My thanks goes to all those at Pixologic , Gnomon , 3DCreative Magazine , 3DWorld Magazine and Ballistic Publishing who have inspired me with their support , as well as dear friends on ZBC and other 3D forums for your help and kindness.

I have posted below ( as well as down the left hand profile column ) some examples of my work. If you would like to see more of my work please visit http://www.markbannerman.com or click > here < to open my site in a new window.

Téa Hodzic DARLIN' OF THE DAY: MUSIC

What I say: "Téa's voice is a force of nature. She is the kind of singer that could sing the list of ingredients on a soup packet and have you weak at the knees."

Excerpts from Téa's website: Téa was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia where she trained in classical guitar and opera. Téa made regular appearances on National TV and Radio and was involved with numerous projects with the National Theatre in Sarajevo, making and performing music for theatre plays. In 1987 she appeared as one of the critical highlights at the prestigious Yu-Fest, the international performing arts festival in Former Yugoslavia. With her sister Mirella, she's been collaborating with leading rock and folk musicians such as Goran Bregovic.

Since living in the UK Téa has appeared on both television and radio and with Mirella sang on the soundtrack for Channel 4's award winning series, "Bloody Bosnia". She also performed at international event "Acting for Sarajevo" at St James' Church Piccadilly, alongside artists such as Vanessa Redgrave, Juliet Stevenson, Sir Ian McKellen, David Threlfall and others

In 1995 Téa and Mirella joined Szapora. (previously The Budapest Cafe Orchestra). In 2000 they performed at the Gala Concert marking the 50th anniversary of UN High Commission for Refugees in Geneva, alongside artists such as Youssou N'Dour, Arja Sainonmaa and Geoffrey Oryema. In 2002 Téa performed at the WOMAD festival in Reading with Vanja Krawczyk and Dylan Fowler and scooped excellent critics in The Times . In October 2002 she appeared as a guest with Dylan at 'The Late Junction," hosted by Fiona Talkington. The program has won Gold Sony Award for 2003. In March 2003 Téa and Mirella performed at the international "Stop The War" concert, held in St.Pauls Church in London, alongside artists such as Martin Carthy.
