My name is Krishnamurti Martins Costa, aka Antropus. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I discovered my interest in computer graphics as a teenager, using an Amiga computer. Years later, I created my first models on a DX2 66Mhz PC, using 3D Studio 3.0 for DOS. After 13 years and dozens of 3D software programs, I found Maya and Zbrush to be the perfect packages for my CG creations today.
Currently working as a character animator, modeler and texture artist at CafeFX in Santa Maria, California, my film career ranges from "Barnyard: The Movie" to “Pan’s Labyrinth.”
I won the 3D Grand Prize in two editions of the CGSociety Challenges: MachineFlesh 2004 and Master & Servant 2005, the most prestigious competitions of their kind on the internet. I also won the Animamundi 2002, Brazil, one of the biggest animation festivals in South America, as animator and art director for the Brazilian movie "O Lobisomem e o Coronel", directed by Ítalo Cajueiro and Elvis Kleber.
I constantly share my workflow in CG forums and comprehensive free tutorials, also available in my website.
I'm the founder and owner of the biggest Brazilian CG community today, 3D4ALL.org , with almost 14.000 registered users. 3D4ALL.org was created with the intention of mentoring artists, revealing their talents and providing a friendly space to share resources and useful information related to CG and illustration enthusiasts.

I did this animation just to test the range of facial expressions I could create by using a combination of bones and blend shapes in Maya:
