About Me

Trained on Jazz, weaned on Metal, and peppered with Pop, Neutral Ground is the center of the war zone. The sparkling brain child of Anatole and Danny, the magic has been bubbling in the cauldron since 2004, adding sugar and spice to the New York rock scene. Legs spread and caps on tight, Anatole, Danny, and guitarists Josh and Eric take off like a phasing phoenix, evoking such memories as U2, Metallica, Maiden and Melvins, while creating a noise all their own. Neutral Ground is on solid ground, ready to shake, quake, and rock for all that is right.

Where is love when you need it?

My Interests

Music:

Band Members:
Daniel Alicea - Drums, Percussion, Vocals
Anatole Rahman- Lead Vocals, Bass
Josh Dietz - Lead GuitarEric - Rhythm Guitar and Vocals
Influences: Oh, shiznit, so, so many influences. I'll sort by bands and genres:

Danny - Sublime, Toots and the Maytals, Reggae, The Police, Punk, Ska, Brit Pop Rock, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, anything with a dancey beat...even a spot of Coldplay

Anatole - U2, The Police, Led Zeppelin, R.E.M., Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Frank Sinatra, Oasis, classic rock, Bob Marley, new wave, Classical, etc.

Josh - Brit-pop, fusion, pop, doo wop, reggae, synth-pop, guitar-rock, rockabilly, rock 'n' roll, serious fucking metal, techno/trip hop, hip hop (backpack and gangsta), singer-songwriter, film scores, country, punk, etc.
Sounds Like: Take the artistic and Chocolate Chip Mint feel and grandeur of a band such as U2. Then, like Coldstone Creamery, mix in the bluberries of The Police. Afterward, throw in the straight up dirty strength of a sugary Crunch bar that is every Metal Band you ever heard. And last, just mix it in with British Pop Rock, Experimental, Punk, Reggae, Blues, and in general, bands that are just cool in their own right.
