Invanity

Power Rock for The Masses!

About Me

This band was the brainchild of guitarist Jake Herman and bassist Rafael Janus. They met through a mutual friend in August of 2005. After finding drummer Luca Vavassori on a musician exchange website, the then trio started writing songs with amazing energy and dedication. Although enjoying themselves playing jazzy, heavy, melodic, and eclectlic tunes, they NEEDED a singer...

BUT in February 2007, the boys' long search is over. Once again, Craigs List prevailed and led them to vocalist Twøn, an extremly gifted and melodic singer. He was the missing link, the last puzzle piece, the final fertilization of INVANITY. We are now what we should be, could be, and will be.
Our sound is heavy, funky, and melodic, mixing in elements of jazz, metal, and rock.

Invanity is currently working hard in the studio preparing for an upcoming tour and CD.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Twøn is the lead vocalist of Invanity. He likes to scream, so duct-tape comes in handy.

Jake von Herman is the lead guitarist for this group. He likes sunsets, long walks on the beach, and any other good time ending with prolonged use of a shovel.

Rafael Janus, a.k.a. "DJ JeS Mati," is the thumping bassmaster of this group. He appreciates and creates all kinds of art, and is quite a wizard with visual arts, fashion, and turntablism.

Luca Vavassori is the drumming authority of this band. A lover of all types of music, he is known to splinter the heaviest tree-trunk drumsticks as though they were mere toothpicks.

Influences: Dream Theater, Metallica, Tool, Boston, Candlemass, Megadeth, Anathema, NIN, Decoryah, Joe Satriani, The Gathering, Micheal Jackson, Jaco Pastorious, The Mars Volta, Yes, Chris Cornell, Led Zep, and Nevermore.
Sounds Like: Puppies with rabies. On steroids.

Soaring vocals spun over intense and complicated beats, jazzy guitar solos, chunky riffs, melodic, rockin, and funk-infused basslines give Invanity their very own style... Deal with it, punk.
Record Label: Jakeness Records
Type of Label: Indie

My Blog

Well, I was right, but Twon was well worth waiting for.

I finally understand why it is so hard to find a good singer. If any of you had heard the music on this site before, you would know that the music was always great, but our vocals always sucked. "Wh...
