Melvin Duffy and Vivien Scotson met each other on a writing week in Italy, held by Chris Difford(Squeeze), in April 2007. Chris paired Melvin and Vivien together to write a song on the first day. They have been recording and playing music ever since. Even though Vivien lives in Glasgow and Melvin lives in Brighton.
They have already supported Chris Difford, Paul Young and played at the amazing Glasgow's ABC2 venue, Jules Holland's Jazz Bar in London and the popular Joogleberry Playhouse in Brighton.
Melvin's main instrument is Pedal Steel, and in the 26 years that Melvin has been playing on stage, he has performed and toured with many artists, including Robbie Williams, Sam Brown, Chris Difford, Elkie Brooks, Los Pacaminos, Jimy Nail, Joe Cocker and Steven Duffy, to name just a few. Melvin also plays lead guitar, Dobro, Wiesenborn, Bango and many more instruments.
Vivien's main instrument is her voice, and in the 2 years that Vivien has been singing, she has supported Charlie Pride on his Uk tour, supported Sandi Thom, Donnie Munro of RunRig, Chris Difford of Squeeze, Phil Cunningham and Ali Bain...
Vivien has just returned back from Italy again, and was writing and performing with MARTI PELLOW and LINDA LEWIS and many more writers.
Vivien gigs as a solo artist, with Melvin as a duo and occasionally with other musicians.
