Originating in 1991, and opening up with acts like ~Sick of it all~, the band played locally for many years.Guitarist/vocalist, Brien Nevins, formally of Requiem, which was featured on the 97 underground album "All Thrashed Out" compilation , is the foundation of SEASON OF FEAR. His raw metal background brings the band to where they are today. The group disbanded in 1994, but Brien was determined to keep SEASON OF FEAR alive and regrouped in 1996.
In 1999 SEASON OF FEAR released a full length album entitled "Horrid Realities" with ten original songs. The band was again reformatted in 2003 and were still going on strong. We are currently recording our new albulm entitled "Forced To Submit". We will be seeing everyone in the very near future! Season of Fear is a band that blends innovative new age techniques with heavy roots of old school speed metal. They’re part of Baltimore’s underground metal scene.
I saw them recently play at Rams Head Live in Baltimore, Maryland. Of the bands playing that night they stood out as the best. Their stage performance and sound was very good. I would recommend them to any metal heads out there.
