About Me

I'm introspective and passionate, but down to earth, friendly, and love to laugh and have a good time. However, I also have the strength and ability to face and examine my own and others' problems and pain when necessary. If loyalty, supportiveness, and an understanding and empathetic nature are important qualities to you, then you would want to know me. I'm compassionate and very good hearted - I feel so bad if I ever hurt anyone's feelings. I've been told I'm sensual, intelligent, a good conversationalist and listener. People have described me as very trusting, innocent, and sometimes naive. Simultaneously, I've been described as very strong and independent which I know to be true, so I guess I'm somewhat of a paradox. I feel, and have been told, that I'm a hopeless romantic and sometimes I wish I could change that, and sometimes not. Also I've been told I'm generous to a fault, and that is probably true as well. I love my job and am financially secure and consider myself very fortunate for that.

Lovers of music, sunshine, beaches, sunsets, animals, movies, books, laughter, flowers, plants, food, wine, motorcycles, warm rainy days cuddled up at home. People who like dressing up and dressing casual. I'm heterosexual but would love to meet some women to hang out with, my best girlfriend moved to NM years ago. The only coworkers I click with live too far away, and I already spend too much time in the car commuting to work.

Movies:

I don't go to movies. I use Comcast on-demand and Netflix. I liked Babel, the Departed, Crash, The Break Up, War of the Worlds, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Wedding Crashers, the 40-year old Virgin, Taking Lives, Unfaithful, The Village, Garden State, Matrix movies, X-Men movies, Dogma, Vanilla Sky, The Fisher King, just about anything with Jeff Bridges, he is so underrated. Most Johnny Depp movies too.

Television:

I'm not a big fan of TV shows, I like movies. A few shows I like or liked -- I loved Six Feet Under, Sex and the City, Seinfeld, Friends. Now I just like House, The Office, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. And whatever movies I can find on TV.

Books:

"What Dreams May Come" by Richard Matheson, about love, soul mates and the afterlife, one would like to think it was like that. Anything by John Irving -"Widow for One Year" and "A Prayer for Owen Meany"are 2 favorites. Also like Anne Rivers Siddons, Anne Rice, Anne Tyler.
