Thinking and Doing out of the box is what I do Best ---- href="http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vcGhvdG9idWNrZXQuY2 9t" target="_blank" Hi, Hello, Hola, Ni Hao,Hau Kola, Bon Jour, My name Is Rand Noel. (That's No L .. please don't say nole..) I live in Las Vegas Nevada in the United States. I turned 58 years old on April 30th 2007. .. Las Vegas just celebrated its 100th Birthday on May 15th 2005. .. That makes us both Taurus. I was also born in the year of the Ox. I have lived here half the life of the City. I have owned three Businesses here and have been married three times, The Businesses were successful, and the marriages weren't. The wives got the business and I got the wisdom – Nuff said…. I know a lot about the history of Las Vegas that most people don't, including the ones that have moved here in recent years. My uncle was the owner of the Las Vegas Review Journal Newspaper way back when newspapers meant something. My mother started many of the departments in the company and are still run the same way because they worked so well. The family also owned the largest printing company for many years doing all the fancy printing for those big hotels back in the Frank Sinatra days. By the time Elvis and Liberace came to town yours truly was learning the printing and publishing and writing and reporting trade. I then took some time off for Uncle Sam because there was some problem down in Southeast Asia. Or so they said. I didn't go there cuz I told them I am here on this planet to help save lives not kill them. So they put me in charge of the drug treatment program for returning Vietnam soldiers that decided cheap heroin in Asia was much better than bullets and bombs. After returning to Las Vegas my adult life began and if you want to know more just ask or read in my groups or whatever. I am currently a Freelance writer and Entertainment Reporter.(A starving writer at that). In the meantime I'll freelance anything for extra bucks in terms of reviews or Las Vegas Life Etc. I’d like to start a new business, maybe a language school. Not just any language school, but one like no one has ever seen. The world will see the study of communication take on whole new meanings. like holographic telepathy. Yes there will be regular studies, I'm talking about the research Division, And animal Communication. I am an avid animal lover of all species except the draconian reptiles that try and run the countries of this world.(I’m a Libertarian; So are 70% on Mensa Members) So later down the page I will list some of my many interests. If you want to chat, email, blog, or whatever I would love to; any age or race and any subject I would be honored to be your friend. If yur a jerk and don’t know it you will when I delete you. If you do know it, then don't even bother. I have people in my friends group from 14 to 90 some are crippled some are deaf some are very Intelligent and some aren’t; but the one thing we all have in common is the love of life, in any shape manner or form, the quest for knowledge, and a deep desire for a good friendship, and a good sense of humor. Words like Love and Fun come to mind when I think of my friends here in cyberspace some of which I have had the honor and privilege to meet in person. So if you are reading this wondering whether you want to be my friend or not, try it, if you don't like it you will have lost nothing. People come and go from my friends list just like in real life. (For instance, in one week I added 12, deleted 10 & 1 quit) If I delete you it can be for many reasons, like we no longer have a common interest, or you have never talked to me once since you were added. (I give you a year) Celebrities and Business professionals are excluded. There are also some who are very close friends and stay around forever (Luv You). If you know for sure I'm not you type and you’re not mine, just truck on down the road and know that all is well. If you know we are of like mind and spirit come be a friend and enjoy your cyber respite with me for awhile. As for the friends pix on MySpace I try to put move friends in the top List of friends I chat, blog, etc. the most with. New Friends usually stay up there a day or two. If I am promoting something, then related friends go up there. I'm not out to get thousands but I am looking for a wide variety of interests so it will be in the hundreds. Things that interest me are; Acting, Comedy, Writing, Most of the Sciences, Astronomy, Physics, and Time Travel are on the top of the list. Oceanography, Archeology, History, New Inventions, the Mind, the Brain, Cultures of the World; Belief systems of the world, and many more, just ask. I'm not a big Sports Fan because I am always doing something else to occupy my time. But I love going to an occasional Baseball game, or Car Race I love Dragsters, and my all time favorite thing to do when time and money permit, since I live in the desert, is Surfing. I learned how to surf in Hawaii way back when even before the Beach Boys, :) and Hawaii wasn't even a State; and although I am too old for extreme sports, I would chance to ride on one of those 100 ft. mid Ocean waves where they drop you from a chopper. OH YEAHHH Not that's really being on top of the World. And way out of the box... well if you want to comment me, mail me, or bulletin me, I do it all, and happy to respond. I try to get on every day sometimes I stay on all day, If I am on assignment then you may have to wait a day or two, but I will get back to you. Sometimes I pick up a 9 to 5 job to keep food on the table if things are slow. I love my lifestyle and if it includes a family in the future that will also be way cool. So for now, Peace out and thank you -Rand....

My Interests

Reading, Writing, Music, I love to cook for one or two, or a family, but I don't think I'd like to do it as a profession; although I really do like those professional chefs on the food network., My Mom taught me about perfumes when I was young - and I learned how to make them and essential oils and I even use some of the ingredients in my cooking. It's an expensive hobby I only pursue when I got the big bucks. Of course doing this on the computer is a lot of fun for me. I learn a lot and meet so many wonderful people. I also Love ancient Chinese Culture and Modern Chinese People. Maybe if Luck should shine upon me I would marry a traditional Chinese lady somedayOK somewhere in here I am going to slip in a comedy Catagory cuz of what I do I like to help people out in the Entertainment Industry so I'll try to promote them here on MySpace: SO Maybe you should go see this Lady if she comes to your city or you go to where she is or buy her CD. You wont be disappointed I promise. And yes when shes not busy you can even talk to her here on MySpace.

I'd like to meet:

People of all ages, races/ethnicities, and beliefs, from all over the world that have a healthy sense of humor, I like to talk about their culture and everyday experiences (That includes right here in the US too). I also Like to talk about there similar Interests. Not into Drama puhleeeze. But I do have a shoulder for you to cry on if you are in need.Famous people I'd Like to meet: Dali Lama, Arvol Lookinghorse, Aung San Suu Kyi, Stevie Nicks, Willie Nelson, The New Pope, and Laura Pausini, and not necessarily in that order.

She is a new Friend of mine here on MySpace and I think you should pay her site a visit and read her profile, listen to her music, and buy her CD, Good Luck Amanda with your career. Since one of my favorite subjects is Languages, I naturally like music from all over the world. R. Kelly, Dido In the Country/Western/ Folk Genre I like 50's Patsy Cline, Patti Page, 60's Johnny Cash, Porter Waggoner, Peter Paul &; Mary, Simon &; Garfunkel. 70's Tammy Wynette, Charlie Pride, Emmylou Harris, Waylon &; Willie &; the Boys :), 80's Judd's, Randy Travis, 90's Melanie Griffith, Alan Jackson, Allison Krauss, etc. Of course there are many, many, many others. For my Hispanic/Latino friends out there I love Gloria Trevi (I Love her name too - If I ever have a girl I might name her that - Gloria de Los Angeles [Glory of the Angels], Laura Pausini, (anybody that can sing like that, and in six languages definitely has won me over. Serena (May She Rest in peace) Gloria Estefan, Ana Torroja, of course her duet with Aleks Syntek "Duele El Amor" is one of my favorites. & Paulina Rubio and many more. Early Electronic music like Tangerine Dream, John Michael Jarre, and Vangelis & Yanni are also on my fav list I still like to listen to them and their soundtracks too. I also Love Celtic Music. As I said early, I like Enya, but also Clinnad, Loreena McKennitt, Levi Chen is fantastic.(He’s here on MySpace and friend here too)
Hanna is a new Friend here on MySpace and I am hoping you all will check out her Music - Wishing the best on your New Album Just Recorded in January.
AND.... Presenting Right here on MySpace is the Lovely Celtic Artist from Down Under in OZ land the Fabulous Catherine Duc, You should take a listen to her electronic music and of course buy her CD’s ?

I aso like Native American Music. Almost everyone has probably heard R. Carlos Nakai and his great flute music but he is very commercial. What I listen to won’t usually get played on the radio unless its an Indian station. Try, Primeaux and Mike and Family and their Peyote Music. Or Dik Darnell, or Little Wolf Band featuring the family of Rita Coolidge (married to Kris Kristofferson and did several pop albums herself). Song for the Journey, a traditional Apache song, is sung beautifully by Priscilla Coolidge, Laura Coolidge-Satterfield, and Jim Wilson. Their three-part harmonies joined by subtle drumming is a stand-out on the album and is perfect for group singing. You can log onto http://www.matoska.com/ for a good catalog of sources.
As for Asian/Oriental music. Do you erhu? As A boy in Hawaii I listened to a lot of traditional Chinese classical, opera, and folk I love it all Just look at my page and see my top friends list and you will see what touchs my heart. Chinese Pop just Like Spanish Pop is really nice for to listen to. - Jolin Tsai (Cai Yi Lin) , Faye Wong, Cyndi Wang Join the Asia Song Contest! Mazarra has created an internet song contest. It's based around Asian music. "It's a contest, and what happens is, you come and apply for a country (one that isn't already taken), then you send in a song from that country. And once all of the songs have been sent in from the participating countries, they get put up for download. And everyone participating has to download them and vote for their favourites!!! It's really really really fun! Anybody can enter! (Not only Asians). So check it out and consider entering! The website is here: Asia Song!" @ http://www.freewebs.com/asiasong/Have you Heard Rainie Yang? (Yang Cheng Lin ) If not or you want Great Prices on Other Asian Music including special versions you can't get in the U.S. go here (add /en for English)

Books:

Since I am a writer this list could be longer than my music and movies lists so I might just keep it simple here and make a blog with the details. As far as the kinds of books at my bedside, they are usually reference books on any particular subject I may be writing about and Dictionaries etc... . I am taking a lot more Spanish classes for many reasons. So there are a lot of Spanish related reading materials around. Also Since my Gurl fren is Chinese My learning More Mandarin is obviously a must. For pure entertainment, I like Clancy, Patterson, & Louise Erdrich a great Native American writer.
