ANEMOS went public in 1998 when their first album "ANEMOS" was released by Warner Music Greece. The nucleus of ANEMOS is Kostas Hatzopoulos (music-arrangement-lyrics) and Katerina Nitsopoulou (lyrics-vocals). Along with them there are several exceptional musicians of the Greek music scene contributing the special characteristics of their musical idiosyncrasy. ANEMOS in Greek means wind, a name that perfectly suits the vision of the group. The music of Kostas Hatzopoulos and the lyrics-vocals of Katerina Nitsopoulou refer to something extremely sensitive yet dynamic at the same time. Ethereal vocals and melodies, Rock elements, Greek traditional themes, renaissance motifs and unfolding memories from all over Greece of Epirus, Thrace, Crete and the Aegean, create a rare and original balance that harmoniously finds its place in the modern reality of today. Their debut album is an inspiring collection of 11 songs and 2 instrumental pieces with an extremely original and impressive sound.Their song Miazis me Fotia, track 1 in the debut album, appears also in the CD Mediterranean Odyssey, Athens to Andalucia by Putumayo World Music 1999. Their second album Thymata Irinis ( Warner April 1999 ) became an instantaneous success in Greece, constantly on the Top 10 of the Billboard and number 1 or 2 on the Radio Charts all over the country. The third concept album of ANEMOS Isos I agapi contains the title song of the successful TV series “Athoos I Enohos ” in Greece, followed by the cd single ANEMOS mix (Warner 2001) containing rhythmic remixes. ANEMOS' remake of the old popular song Spasmeno Karavi with the voice of Dimitris Basis and vocals by Katerina Nitsopoulou makes it an instantaneous hit and achieves a golden CD single - Warner 2001. In the summer o 2001 ANEMOS tours Greece and Cyprus with the prominent Greek artist Haris Alexiou and continued their appearances with her at the music scene of Kerameikos in Athens, in the winter of 2002. ANEMOS is also involved in writing music for theatrical plays such as the Small Plaza by Carlo Goldoni for Kalamata's Theatrical Company and CableBound for the international theatrical company Scene de Loon. ANEMOS ’s 4th album Kodikas Entos was released by MBI in May of 2004. Rhythmical as well as melodical tracks unfold sound colors and senses that are acoustically intriguing as well as revealing for the sentiment. In 2006 they released the remake of the old time classic ''Madoubala" in the compilation cd Tote/Tora by EMI. In December 2007 ANEMOS "Paradise" is being released by "Protasis", opening a new cycle and showing the evolution of the group. The name ANEMOS (wind) allows them to be sensitive as well as dynamic depending on the circumstances and moods in the same way the vibrations of the wind (ANEMOS) are sometimes delicate, having a dream like quality and some other times dynamically overruling, creating an unexpected vigour of freedom. The vibrations of the wind are the ones that carry the seeds of the present in to the future... FRANCAISLe group ANEMOS a fait sa première parution discographique en 1998, quand son premier album homonyme « ANEMOS » a été publié par Warner Music :Le group est constitué par Kostas Hadjopoulos (musique, paroles, orchestration) et Katerina Nitsopoulou (paroles, chanson).La musique des ANEMOS a un caractère très particulier. Elle est spécifique et unique, à la fois lyrique et dynamique. Sensible et puissante elle crée un amalgame exceptionnel et un son entièrement nouveau.Des vocaux éthérés et des mélodies, des tendances contemporaines, des thèmes traditionnels, des motifs de la Renaissance mêlés aux souvenirs musicaux des régions d’Epire, de Thrace, de la Crète, de l’archipel d’Egé ses littoraux orientaux inclus, créent une balance rare et évoluent harmonieusement avec les sons d’aujourd’hui. Cette balance trahit un caractère profondément et essentiellement grec.Dès leur premier album ils ont gagné des critiques exceptionnelles ainsi que l’acclamation du publique et l’intérêt de l’importante société discographique américaine Putumayo World Music, qui leur a proposé une collaboration exclusive pour la publication de leur musique en 35 pays du monde entier. Parallèlement les ANEMOS ont écrit de la musique pour le cinéma, la télé et le théâtre.Ils ont écrit la musique des séries télévisées: Victimes de la paix - basé sur le livre de V. Vasilikos et mis en scène par Giannis Diamantopoulos pour la chaîne Mega. Nous sommes partis – scénario de Hélène Zioga et mise en scène de Nikos Koutelidakis pour la chaîne Mega. Innocent ou Coupable – mise en scène de Manousos Manousakis pour la chaîne ANT 1.En Novembre 1999 ils ont reçu pour leurs musique le prix du Concours officiel Prix Télévisés Grecs 1999.Ils ont écrit la musique pour les pièces de théâtre: «La petite place» de Carlo Goldoni; production de Théâtre Municipale Régional de Kalamata, mise en scène de Giannis Diamantopoulos. «CableBound» avec la troupe Scene de Loon, produit à Athènes et en tourné en Europe en l’an 2000.Ils participent activement à la scène musical grecque avec, entre autre, des collaborations récentes avec Harris Alexiou, Lavrentis Macheritsas etc.En Mai 2004 MBI a mis en circulation le quatrième cd d’ ANEMOS, entitulé «Code à l’intéreur», avec lequel ils ont gagné deux candidatures aux « Prix Arion » dans les catégories de groupe « entechno » et pop.En Mai 2006 paraît pour la première fois le remix de la chanson « Madoubala » réalisé par les ANEMOS dans la collection «JADIS / MAINTENANT – Les originaux et leurs remix», produit par Minos EMI. En Décembre 2007 ANEMOS ont ouvert un nouveau cycle avec la circulation de «Paradise/ Paradis» en témoignage de l’évolution et des nouvelles perspectives de la bande. Les vibrations du vent sont ceux qui portent les germes de la présente à l'avenir ... ..
