Yiannis Kotsiras

Yiannis was certainly born. At the most sneaky year of the 60's. His parents are from Pelloponisos and Egypt. He started singing at school and at the Army and then he suddenly sings rembetika at Perivoli tou Ouranou in Plaka. He is a great electrician and a computer technician. He loves Laiko, Rembetiko, Rock, Reggae and things like that. Everything that comes from the heart. He hates new Pop and Entexno-Pop and Laiko-Pop and Electro-Pop and all this mutand new kind of music. He loves sea, taverns, good food and especialy italic kitchen and things on souvla. His favorite drinks are Raki, Tsipouro and Rum. He also loves playing music of the record with friends at home or at tavern. He loves animals and hates human-animals. He lives at country with his dog. We don't know anything for sure about his personal life and we don't want to know. The only things that we know for sure is that he cares very much about the environment and the helpless people. He belongs to the left part of the politics but he despise almost all the politicians. He is not rich and he owns a house and 2 rented cars. He loves his musicians and they love him very much. He doesn't have many friends. Only four. Vasilis, Kostas, Nikos and Yiorgos. He is very gentle especially with ladies but he is also very steady and aggressive when he has to. He has a beautiful sister and two wonderful parents. His father is a retired sailor and his mother is a sailors wife. A very difficult job. Yiannis doesn't likes to make the same kind of music all the time. From what we know he is at studio this period and he prepares a new CD. Very different and with Rock influences. This summer he is going to make a few concerts with his beloved singer Eleni Tsaligopoulou. If you travel this summer in Greece you will certainly hear somewhere his voice.
