About Me

I'm a wee sixties lovin' fun, pun machine gun. Energetic, honest, chatty, intelligent, far too kind and caring. On the flipside I'm rather cynical and a bit sappy. Usually have a fit at text talk (wtfstpthtshit)and packaging that I can't open(god knows how the older generation cope). Big fan of chic mystique Parisien style, pop art and truffaut movies.

Wanted to be a proper gonzo rock journo like the loveable Mr Lester Bangs but gave up that pipe dream a looooong time ago, went into regional journalism, pr then back into journalism as a freelance (plus I'm copywriting too). My words have made the pages of the Glaswegian (front page splashes and all!), Evening Times, Is This Music?, 4 Talent/IDEASFACTORY website and the kooky Chica magazine edited by the 'sweet' Lucy Sweet. Every lady should have a Chica mag in their handbag. Forget that Glamour peepee. Katie Slag has all the advice on how a young lady should conduct herself around gentlemen.

If that wasn't enough craziness to shovel into my life I also DJ and used to co-run gal music pre club Dolly Mixture (www.myspace.com/dollymixclub). I'm now running glam/punk and 70s rock night Rebels Rule (which is on hold but will be returning!!).
Oh, I also quite like organising things like this market which has a bit of a 'hippy like' atmosphere. Do come along:

My Interests

Looking after my little nephew, cartwheeling (and now the splits, not the Banana ones), writing my lil' socks off, shouting at the TV, The 60s, red wine as it gets me err creative haha, daydreaming, playing Lucy Sweet's melodica, drinking tea with honey, making lists of nonsense, music, gigs, playing pool at The Scotia (oh yesss), music, music, gigs, don henley, photography, conversations of the arguing/discussion/arguing nature with anyone who's game, organising events, travelling, being cheeky, DJing (vinyl and cd), rummaging around charity shops for vinyl and handbag treasures, cooking (no Delia just yet), being a powerhouse of thoughts and ideas, reading rock biogs and the finer literature, chatting like a maniac and moving my feet to the beat at all opportunities.

I'd like to meet:

Soul men, private dancers, paperback writers, mods, rockers, mockers...
