Sir Richard

They say the best things in life are free . Hmmmm, name a few !!!

About Me

I've been around awhile. Met a lot of people. Some really great, some just legends in their own mind. Also seen a lot of change. I'm sure there will be more down the road.

My Interests

Ancient Civilizations and religions. Old movies, especially anything with Ginger Rogers, old silents. Hiking, general workouts in the gym ( very relaxing). Live theatre, stand up comedy, burlesque, alternative theatre, Old cemetaries. 17TH century mostly Europe. Old period shows, like they use to do on Masterpiece Theatre . Germany 1870 -1945

I'd like to meet:

I've met him, my dad, a super great guy. 90 years old and going strong.

Music:

All kinds from all eras, nothing specific. Specifically, Beatles, Rolling Stones 1965 -72, Yardbirds, Doors, Hendrix, Country Joe and the Fish, Dylan, most of the San Francisco bands, form 1967 -70 ( especially Jefferson Airplane) , a lot of the bands for the early 70s, especially Jethro Tull, Alice Cooper, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath. I HATED THE MID 70S, especially disco!!! But love the late 70s especially the Sex Pistols, ( still have my God save the Queen T-shirt )Clash, Ramones, try being a punk rocker in Kansas City in the late 70s,it was quite an experience. Love most of the 80s acts especially New Order, Cure. Jumping a decade, to present, Interpol, Dresden Dolls, Strokes, Queens of the New Stone Age, there are more .Edith Piaf , 1940s - 60s Broadway musicalsAlso into Gregorian chant ( especially, Missa de Angelis and the Mass of the Dead ) and traditional Celtic music.

Movies:

TOP of the list, John Water's, Desperate Living. I love those French subtitled movies epecially those hard to come by ones with Sophie Marceau ( the princess from Braveheart, in them, damn she is hot). Also, old Universal and Hammer horror films. Also American films, Kill Bill, Vol.1 & 2 ( a whining, security guard picked a fight with me at a theatre after seeing Kill Bill 2 He accused me of sneaking in the theatre and wanted to see my ticket stub, you don't mess with ANY one after seeing Kill Bill ( either volume ) he got several verbal karate chops and was SUBDUED !!!

Television:

History International channel, SCI - FI channel ( especially old Dark Shadows reruns)

Books:

Fall of Eagles, Catcher in the Rye, 1984, Free World Colussus, almost anything on, England, German, Central European History

Heroes:

No one in particular. There are heroes and heroines all over the place, they just need someone to write about them or a PR person to make them famous.
