Stick Figure Opera (NEW SONGS UP!!!)

Can I hold you again and still have faith?

About Me

Stick Figure Opera
...the simplest things are often the most dramatic...

Stick Figure Opera formed in early 2007 with the goal to play interesting, catchy original music and to take over the world in the process.
Ultimately, however, a rather lax attitude has led to the members rarely getting together to rehearse, resulting in a fairly relaxed and improvised performance. In fact, their performance is so relaxed that some fans have noted a distinct lack of anything even remotely resembling a gig.

Not to worry. Stick Figure Opera is made up of some of Newcastle’s best young musicians who have played together in various rock, funk and experimental outfits – original and otherwise.

For the first time Robbie Macaulay has assumed the lead vocal role, augmenting his already accomplished songwriting and guitar playing. Playing with three very professional and seasoned musicians (James Dennett - drums, James Hayes - bass, and Gavin Hodge - keys), the result is a highly musical and sometimes funky pop-rock sound that is probably reminiscent of some other band you’ve never heard of…

The songs you are currently listening to (or most likely rushed to hit the pause button as soon as the player loaded) were recorded with awesome Newcastle musician/composer/producer Gareth Hudson. The goal is to record a few more (in all our spare time) and release a six-track EP in 2008.

Now all we've gotta do is play some gigs, then the prior-mentioned plan for world domination will begin.
