The NGARIKI ELECTRIC BAND consists of myself (lead guitar, lead vocals), Kane Starkey (acoustic guitar, backing vocals), Rob Bell (bass, backing vocals) and Marty Paget (drums) and has been operating now for roughly 4 years. The longest serving member is Rob who was around for the first incarnation of the band which also included Nick Fisher (acoustic guitar) and Chris Lowe (drums). Phase 2 came when Chris retired from the band and was replaced by Cotton Sidewalk drummer, Marty Paget (on the recommendation of Kane, not in the band at this point). The 3rd and most active phase began with the addition of Kane Starkey Since the NGARIKI ELECTRIC BAND leans more to the rock side of my material, a new blues/roots outfit is being formed to cater to the...well...blusier and rootsier stuff! The lineup is still sketchy and the band name is unclear but when it happens it'll happen quick (and it'll snap heads). Coming soon...
