About Me

BIOGRAPHY
Rick Caballo is a rising star. A talented artist in his own right, he has talent to burn as a singer/songwriter and has a warm yet sensual stage presence. He holds the ‘X Factor’ that Network TV is searching for. Ask anyone who has seen him perform along the east coast pub and club circuit and they will tell you. Judging by merchandise sales, 90% of those punters proudly own a Ricko Tour’ t-shirt, cap or poster. In a short time Rick has achieved what many artists never achieve in their lifetime. With hard work, focus and patience he has created a very viable and sustainable industry around himself. What began as‘ a bit of fun’ at a backyard party in his hometown of Dapto, has grown to the point where Rick's resume now includes performances in London, UK (2004), Madrid, Spain (2002) and Amsterdam, Holland (2004).What gives Rick the edge is the fact that he is not a one-dimensional performer. He feels totally at home performing solo acoustic, harmonising with a violinist and percussion player or fronting the riotous ‘Poo Tickets’ electric rock band. His performances run the gamut from frantic percussion driven versions of The Rolling Stones Sympathy for the Devil’ to more tender, introspective tunes like his own ‘Long Time Coming’, a loving tribute to a departed family member.Rick’s standing in the music community is confirmed by the array of people upon whom he can call for both live performance and recording session work. He has been accompanied on stage, and in the studio by members of Australian music icons such as The Screaming Jets, Skyhooks and The Angels. Rick’s debutante recordings were overseen by Novocastrian Mark Tinson who nurtured both The Screaming Jets and Silverchair in their infancies.Make no mistake - Rick Caballo is a rising star! For more information visit www.rickcaballo.comEverybody Knows Everybody
