Welcome to the Wonderful World of Miss Entrepreneur and Entertainer extraordinaire Casme’ Barnes k/a Casme' "The Rock & Soulstress" also A 2008 Miss Black Tenn Contestant!! She is on a serious mission to fulfill her God given purpose! Presently she is in the studio writing her first Rock&Soul project “This Is Me” where she expresses her passions, her struggles and her desire to reach today's youth, which has recently lead her to start a mentoring program "4U" where she educates and inspires teens through rap sessions, skits and songs about Self Esteem, Suicide, Rape & Abstinence. On top of working on her solo project, she has been singing back up for numerous artcist such as American Idol’s Kimberley Locke, Gotee Records' Ayeisha Woods and Australian Rocker Rick Cabello. She's also touring weekly with a legendary Motown Soul Cover Band, teaching Stage Presence classes, writing fashion articles for Tennessee Style Magazine and Hosting/Styling the fashion segment for “Truth Mag” a new hip DVD Magazine. After Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005 she produced a 16 song relief Cd to encourage and uplift her family and victims throughout the gulf coast. For the past seven years she has been one of the lead actress/singer and writer of Motivations Inc., a touring drama group with the mission of encouraging youth worldwide to carefully make positive life changing decisions. Throughout the past fifteen years Casme’ has been blessed to tour the US while mesmerizing crowds with her flawless beauty, impeccable style and a heart warming voice. She is a gifted Singer, Songwriter, Actress, Artist, Dancer and Designer. Her engaging presence, sweet spirit, ambition and talents have opened many doors for her to perform on a consistent basis locally and nation wide. She’s performed in top notch venues including The Fox Theatre, The New Orleans House of Blues, The Famous BB Kings Restaurant, The Country Music Hall of Fame & many churches, community stages, high schools & colleges. Casme’ has graced the stages of numerous events including Martin Luther King’s Celebration Nashville & Coca Cola’s Community Fest 2001, The New Orleans Jazz Festival, and “A Night For Ray” a tribute showcase she produced for Ray Charles @ The Country Music Hall Of Fame 2006. Her repertoire is not limited to opening performances for celebrity artists Genuine, Eve, Sole, Bobby Jones, Men of Standard, JC and Damien Horne. She has been blessed to perform onstage with others such as R&B Sensation Tony Terry & BET Comedians Sheryl Underwood & Keisha Hunt. She’s been a wedding singer for the last four years fronting the stage for well known cover bands such as The Jimmy Church Band, Waldo Weathers, and Steve Roper & B.B.King All Star Band. Casme’ has been a featured runway model in numerous shows including Ce Ce Winans’ “Always Sisters Conference’s Fashion Show 2006”. Her love for fashion & her desire to utilize her creativity was the force behind, “CaZe’” a women’s one of a kind clothing line designed to allow women to feel jazzy, fashionably sassy but classy all at once. CaZe’ was nominated two years in a row for Clothing line of the year by the SEA (Southern Entertainment Awards). Her TV appearances include The 2005 Stellar Awards (Angelic Dancer for Shirley Caesar), The 2006 CMT music awards (BGV for Keith Urban) and a small cameo in the urban movie “Stomp the Yard”.
