George Jenkins Jr. is the son of the Great Late “Queen of the Blues”, Dinah Washington, and legendary “King of the Drums”, George Kenneth Jenkins Sr. Angel was raised in Harlem, listening to her grandmothers records and with a love for music and show biz. With her dad playing the drums, and her mom always singing a tune, making music was all around her. She has been in church, school choirs, and plays through out her life. She has dreamed of being a successful model/dancer/actress/ and recording artist. Shel has realized and accepted her roots and her destiny to continue her family’s musical and talented legacy. She is determined to follow in her grandmother’s talented musical footsteps and shine. Angel Performs a blues show called "Angel sings Dinah". She performs many of Dinah Washingtons greatest hits like "West Side Baby, All of Me, Is You Is Or Is You Ain't my baby, & Baby You Got What it takes" (Hit Duet she recorded with legendary Brook Benton) Also included in her tribute show she sings Dinah Washington's famous signature song " What A Difference A Day Makes" Angel is also an aspiring song writer and original recording artist. She also performs at a variety of venues and events presenting herself as the artist" Angel Michelle". She has performed throught out the Uniteds States, and is hoping to take her original and tribute show overseas in the near future. She welcomes collaboration with other artist, events & producers...
