One Boob Out (OBO) is not the typical girl band….Write our own music? Nope….Been performing together for years? Only on the dance floor.....Musically inclined? Negative. We don’t even have instruments! Yes, that’s right! We are a 100% Air Band! Now you are intrigued, right? Well you should be! We are the only all-female air band around – to our knowledge – and we are taking the MD/DC/VA area by storm! Our show will get you on your feet shaking that money maker and laughing non-stop!
A little history lesson – we are a group of girls from Maryland that never blend in – we ALWAYS cause a scene! We love all genres of music including Motown, 80’s Hair Bands, R&B, Hip Hop, Rock and a personal favorite – REGGAE! Catching live, local music shows is always on the agenda and you will find us upfront on the dance floor!
One night in early 2007, while at a Shoreline (Bang! Bang!) show, the idea to start a girl band began. We all claimed our instruments and started thinking about our future set list. The first hurdle we came to was the fact that none of us know how to play any instruments. To any other band this would be a huge problem, right? Well, like I said, we are far from typical. We decided that we had no time or loot to get lessons, instruments, training, etc. so “Air Band†it is. Now all we needed was a name. Just as we sat around a high-top table at Sonomas and posed the question of a name, an unknown man walked by and said, “One Boob Outâ€. There it was! None of us questioned it! It’s Perfect! Next thing you know, I’m pulling my left one out (I had another shirt on – check out the pic!) and One Boob Out was born!
