You might think a band by the name of SHORELINE would be from a town full of swells and sand. However, SHORELINE hails from Silver Spring, MD - an area just outside of Washington DC and a half hour from Baltimore, MD. The band chose their name in order to represent the simplicity of what the shoreline brings. Growing up a short distance from the famous Chesapeake Bay and a little over two hours from the Atlantic coastlines of Maryland and Delaware, the shore is where Todd, Steve, and Nate often went to party and get away from it all, and that is what the music of SHORELINE is all about. At the same time, Silver Spring is where SHORELINE is from, and the band will always rep it to the fullest extent.SHORELINE was started by Todd Fowble (vocals/guitar) in March of 2005, with the idea of finally bringing together all of the styles of music that he had grown up listening to. Todd's love of reggae, ska, surf, punk rock, and the mellow moods of the acoustic guitar brought on SHORELINE.There would be several lineup changes until April of 2006. It was a hard time, but he used that time to start writing new material, and to look for the perfect piece to complete the SHORELINE puzzle. That piece fell into place in April of 2006 when he got news that long time friend, Nate "Deuce-Deuce" Rahn (Drums) wanted to start playing drums again.SHORELINE played with the lineup of Todd, Nate and Pat for about 4 months and were able to record a 6 song E.P. (Boozin'- Stylee Records). Shortly after the recording, with Pat leaving to pursue other projects, Todd and Nate decided to recruit Steve Harmon (long time friend and former bass player for the ska-punk band the Nutrags) as the permanent bass player for SHORELINE. Oh yea and Depola blows the bone often. woo party!!!SHORELINE is set to prove that they are a talented band and that 2007 is the year that they are going to "kill it". Stay tuned for many shows and a new full length album on Stylee Records for 2007.-Bless-
