I grew up in Brooklyn..later N.J. and L.A. Chic Murray(Grandpa)worked at NBC in N.Y. when I was a tike and had a big influence on my life..with media and music. I met Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. when I was 8 and looked up to see all the glitz and glamour of the showgirls in the backstage area. The public schools I went to in Brooklyn, took our classes to the Met for ballets. Classical music was introduced early in my life and I have a special fondness for that. I think it is timeless. The public schools had quite the diversity with introducing foreign dances for performances at the end for graduation. Wow, I played Saturn in a play and made my costume including the rings that would hang around me out of different color duck tape..that was a feat in itself when I was 10! These moments affected me, my soul to eventually go in that direction. In 1970 I got a job working at The Music Circus in Flemington, N.J. doing tickets and moving equipment from the stage which I worked shows with Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac there. My travels throughout the years put me with some of the nicest people I have ever known in music. I worked in L.A at the Rainbow, The Roxy, Gazzari's, Whiskey, Starwood and the Central from 1979 through 1981. In N.J. and N.Y.C. at the Stone Pony, Fastlane, The Saint Birch Hill Nightclub, The Tradewinds, Count Basie Theater, The Marquee selling band merchandise for national acts and local acts. Oh let's not forget City Gardens. Jewelry I handcrafted and sold during concerts from 1990 through 1996. Acting in Henry VIII, Cromwell and Edward and lights and sound for various Shakespeare plays(all for fun, mind you, lol)at the Globe Theater in West Hollywood, CA. early 1980's which landed my picture in Variety with Cromwell. I also was assistant set designer for a Twilight Zone short film that is in AFI archives from the late 1970's. Tarot readings for the last 37 years, been in the Asbury park press in 1995 and cable.
