I have been building guitars since the early 1990s. I build steel-string acoustics and classical guitars one at a time to order. This allows me to give my full attention to each instrument and to be flexible enough to accomodate the customer's requirements on each guitar. Occasionally I build other instruments, and have made electric guitars and basses, an acoustic lap steel, a mandolin, a baroque lute and a colascione. I welcome commisions for the unusual.
My current models can be seen in 'my pictures' and some can be heard in 'my videos.'
See my website www.lucasguitars.co.uk for detailed information on models and pricing. Also listed are guitars currently available for sale.
"Adrian Lucas' innovative guitars have a beautifully strong, clean and clear sound with a depth and richness that enable the player to make strong contrasts while also retaining a very responsive touch at low dynamic levels. The treble and bass are beautifully matched and project with real strength and clarity - you really feel that the guitar isn't holding anything back".Craig Ogden
"I was astounded by the beauty and power of the Lucas guitars I played at The Stamford Guitar Festival. I loved the richness of the bass and the sonorous, bell-like quality of the mids and treble. were nothing short of amazing. Adrian's attention to detail is apparent in the fit and finish. The joinery is flawless. Bravo, Lucas Guitars!"Jack Lawrence - Doc Watson's playing partner since the mid 80s (Pavilion, Arbour)
