About Me

Born in 1974, Ibou Tall belongs to the new generation of African musicians and producers. In Senegal, he played with the old generation of musicians like Baba Maal, Ousmane Toure,Seydina Wade, and worked in lot of projects with the new generation, jazz projects, albums, workshops...Ibou is best known for his experience with Nder a former Senegalese singer. For 7years he was the "mr harmonies" of Nder's band, playing the main role in the composition and the arrangement of most of his hits. During his time with Africa fete, Ibou toured several times in USA, Europe and Africa. In 2001, he played with Michel Cusson from UZEB at l'air du temps in Montreal and seduced the audience by his original touch. In England he played with many musicians , worked as a composer in studios for various artists into jazz, hiphop and afro projects .One of the most important project for Ibou, was to set the melting pot jazz trio as a pianist and a producer. Currently,Ibou is working on the Xamlé jazz project in Dakar.Xamlé jazz is a quartet of old friends exploring the large potential of Senegalese and Afro rythms, with a cocktail of jazz, latin, funk and bikutsi.
