About Me

I'm a piano player working in Ireland. I also run a studio, "Pyro Studios". A lot of my time is spent working as a session musician playing piano, hammond, rhodes, keys, etc.. I began studying classically when I was 6 then studied jazz piano for a while. Since then I have been largely self taught. A lot of my time recently is spent arranging music for albums and concerts, and producing recordings for people. As a composer, I have worked with songwriters, co-writing in rock/pop and jazz styles. I also compose music for film when I get the chance. I first did a soundtrack in 1998 for the feature film "Exiled", directed by Bill Muir. Since then I've composed for the award-winning short "Coolockland", directed by Brian Tucker and was a selected composer for the Moonstone European Filmmakers' Lab, where I collaborated with English director Mike Barnes. Since 2005, I have been involved with Screen Training Ireland/UCLA's Film Scoring Programme where I studied with former Head of Music at CBS Television, Don Ray.As a session musician, I have gigged and recorded with many Irish Artists, including Juliet Turner, Paddy Casey, Duke Special, Declan O’Rourke, Aslan, Neil Hannon, Mary Coughlan, Camille, Westlife, Vyvienne Long, Cafe Orchestra, Brian McFadden, Brian Kennedy, and international acts such as Robin Gibb (Bee Gees), Louisiana Red, Sister Sledge, LeAnn Rimes, Tony Hadley, Riccardo Cocciante, amongst others. I also play on the Irish jazz scene.
