About Me

I am a guitarist, born in Dublin, but living very happily in Greystones. Co. Wicklow for the last few years. I've been working as a "session" musician (whatever that is?) for the last 15 years or so, and I'm very fortunate to have worked with some wonderful people and visited many fantastic places around the world doing it. I only wish I'd kept all the guitars I've owned over the years! The 1965 jazzmaster I sold for IR£200 has given me many sleepless nights believe me. Over the years I've recorded, gigged and toured with artists such as Sinead Lohan, Naimee Coleman, Sinead O'Connor, Gavin Friday, Leslie Dowdall, Sharon Shannon, Jimmy McCarthy, Lesley Garrett, The Tenors (both Celtic AND Irish varieties- Ha Ha!), Briana Corrigan (Beautiful South), Tommy Fleming, Camille O'Sullivan, Autamata and, of course, the Camembert quartet.I work regularly on tv as a backing musician and have appeared with Elton John, Cliff Richard, Sugababes, Enrique Iglasias, Katie Melua, Westlife, Leanne Rhymes, Natasha Bedingfield, Rodney Crowell, Andrea Corr, Russell Watson, Samantha Mumba, Sharon Shannon and Steve Earle, Deacon Blue and many more I can't remember! In more recent years I have been doing a lot of theatre "pit" work in Dublin and around the country, plus the occasional session with the RTE concert orchestra. As most theatre shows finish quite early, it means I get to spend more time with my main dude, my 2 year old son Luca Bazooka! ( actually it's Luca Tom ). I'm currently finishing an album with my own band "the Babbage Engine", and we hope to have it done before the end of the year. Check out -http://www.myspace.com/thebabbageenginethanks
