Caxton Tempest at the End of the World

About Me

London, 1888
Orphan Jim Kerrigan and his young brother George live by their wits on the streets. But after stumbling across a mutilated corpse one night Jim finds himself thrust into the dark, dangerous world of the mysterious Caxton Tempest. Now, along with new friends Denver McCade and Johnny Chen, Jim must fight for his life against a killer intent on opening up the gates of Hell.
But other forces of evil are gathering, and Tempest finds he needs the help of an unlikely ally if he is to defeat them…
Scary, gripping and unsettling CAXTON TEMPEST AT THE END OF THE WORLD takes the reader on a journey into the sordid East End, the opium dens, the rookeries, slums and beyond into a world of magic and horror…

My Interests

Reading, writing, photography, art, cinema, and a whole ton of other stuff. I have also tried my hand at scuba diving, caving, flying and climbing. Reading and writing are my twin obsessions at the moment, though.

I'd like to meet:

Other people who read and write books. Reading is my passion and it has been great to meet so many other authors here. If you read or write (or both!) then it would be great to meet you, just add me as one of your friends.

Music:

Tom Waits, (the man is a genius), White Stripes, David Bowie, Elvis, The Stooges, William Shatner, ELO, Talking Heads, XTC, Foo Fighters...

Movies:

Anything by Martin Scorsese. Also George Romero, Larry Cohen, Sergio Leone, Monte Hellman, The Coen Brothers, Sam Raimi, Roman Polanski...

Television:

Don't watch it. Not much anyway.

Books:

Some of the many authors I read... Michael Connelly, H. Rider Haggard, Stephen King, Thomas Pakenham, Lawrence Block, Harry Crews, Douglas Lindsay, Neal Gaiman, the list just goes on and on. Basically, if I had nothing else to read I would pick up a telephone directory and read that.

Heroes:

Parents who bring their children up to be responsible adults. I've got two young boys now and I'm just finding out what a huge, difficult, incredible, awesome and beautiful responsibility it is.
