About Me

I'm a simple guy with an avid imagination, which hopefully turns into something you'll enjoy reading. My first "Eye of the Storm" is a thriller. Buy it and let me know what you think ;) . Beyond that I am a Lieutenant inside the big house. I have been in law enforcement for 13 years. 12 to go and I'm done; can't wait to retire. I am an avid fisherman, though kinda hard to be avid when you get out once or twice a month. I tend to draw from my experiences in my writing. But then again I have several projects in the works (too many to get any done) that I can't claim any experience; such as pirates and hitman. My Web Site"In EYE OF THE STORM, James A. Forrest proves he has a passion for Florida, and has an understanding of this crazy state's quirks. This is a writer to watch." - Randy Wayne White

Eye of the Storm Chapter 1

The sunlight shooting through the fall leaves and branches acted like a strobe light in Jack Foster's eyes. He drove up the winding road unsure of his destination. What he was sure of was the man he w...

A Hiaasen

What is Eye of the Storm about?

I'm glad you asked  ... They say that a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work; which is true unless you're a charter captain. For Captain Jack Foster, it was a terrible day fishing wh...

So many stories and so little time

Ever since I started seriously writing I find that everything is a story anymore. A parked car, shoe on the side of the road, or a high-risk transport. They all find a way of unraveling into a st...
