How'd we get this thing started?....Hmmm....
Well, a few years before, Billy P and Billy A met in Playa del Carmen at the wedding of some mutual friends. They got pretty hammered on 44 oz tequila shots. Back home in Austin, Billy A and Kique had played together in the past, and were jamming again with some old friends. They played loud. Billy P had been writing songs, and one day he called up Billy A and said "Hey man, let's play some of this shit. Hell, let's play anything for that matter". The timing of that call proved to be important, as their singer had just become unavailable. So they rocked Billy A's garage with some cover tunes and originals written by their past bands, and it just worked. After only the second gig, however, bassist and good buddy Randall welcomed a new baby and couldn't commit. An ad was placed for a bass player. A few tried out, but the chemistry wasn't there. Billy P knew Ken, but had never seen him play. Ken proceeded to rock the house, all the while making everyone's instruments smell like a dirty ashtray. It was perfect. A few of the old tunes were kept, and then quickly followed by a shitload of brand new ones. That was the spring of 2005.
Things have progressed very rapidly for us. We've been fortunate enough to land high-profile gigs at great venues, playing with the best bands in Austin- more importantly with OUR favorite bands. Almost everything we've recorded has been played on local rock radio. Some of our posters for our shows (designed by Billy P) currently appear in prominent best-selling rock books. We're having way too much fun to stop. We walk onstage like our shit doesn't stink, even though we're fairly sure it does.
