This is the MYSPACE home of the ALL TEXAS Music Video program called CapZeyeZ. We've aired weekly on cable channel 10 in Austin Texas for over 15 years. Our website is at http://www.rawtime.com/CapZeyeZ was developed in the minds of Wayne Roy Keith and David Prewitt over a fine meal of beanie-weinies and beer in late 1989.I had an idea to use the camcorder footage I began collecting on local TV because Austin has one of the finest public access television facilities known to man.Wayne & I came upon the name CapZeyeZ (sounds like capsize - has nothing to do with a boat) I figured CAP (Captured live bands) EYES (eyes on Texas music)So we began to think of a logo, I wanted all Texas symbolism. The Z's were my idea of dedication to the boys, ZZ TOP... Between Wayne & myself we came up with the capitol building, coiled snake, hangman's noose, skull, bones.... We gave this random thought process to the beautiful & talented Beverly Barrington, now of IGNITOR, who was the most brilliant artist we knew. She had done countless amazing art for Agony Column. She came up with the logo you see to this day. It was so amazing I knew I had to follow thru and do my best to create a kicking media outlet to see bands NO ONE else would ever give the light of day.So, on November 17, 1990 - after several months of taped programs, lead by the access producer genius & goddess Sue Cole, I did my first LIVE TV SHOW. It was brutal, yet honest & very fun. We did many things from that first show, whether it be cute girls naming hamsters, or Nathan trying to seriously interview a band who chose to bring dildo's full of whip cream and beat a girl who was tied up in front of them, with various bondage instruments.Since then, I have been lucky enough to be able to upgrade my knowledge of television production thru many upgrades at the access facility in Austin which has allowed the professionalism of the program to increase all the time. Into 2000 and onward I have begun to equally produce digitally at home, even moreso than what I do at the actual TV studio. We've had the pleasure of working with many amazing Texas names such as: Lloyd Maines, Gibby Haynes, Scott Biram, Charlie Sexton, Will Sexton, Bob Schneider, Eric Johnson, Jimmie Vaughan, Fastball, Kacy Crowley, Dale Watson, Trish Murphy, Doug Sahm, Roky Erickson, dead horse, Agony Column, Crust, Fuckemos, and many more. But to me the exciting part is working with bands you may have never heard of such as: Mr. Lewis & The Funeral Five, Color, Dancyr, Human, Hobble, Erin Byrne, Elizabeth McQueen, and on and on. So as long as there's a garage being played in, and a camera to shoot it on - I will be making tv of this type till I die. Hope you get something out of it....Dave Prewitt July 28, 2004.
