About Me

A BRIEF SUMMERY

Okay, here goes... around the age of 3 my father was murdered. By the age of 5 through around 10 years young, my baby sitter’s 30 something year old son molested me. I battled with reading and due to the embarrassment and not being able to cope with it all; I started down the wrong path. By the age of 12 I was skipping school, drinking, smoking, fighting, and you name it. I was my mother's worse nightmare. By high school I lost so many friends (drugs/death), I started to slowly wake-up and pay attention. Due to a bad school track record; I was banned from public school and sent to an alternative school (also known as adult education). After witnessing the death of my best friend, I wanted more. By the age of 20 I had seen as much as a young mind can take. The birth of my first son changed entire world. I graduated from MLK alternative school and though my past limited me a bit, I was determined to fight for a better life. I wanted to go to college, when I went to take the entry exam I failed and oh boy if that wasn’t a wake-up call. My mom and I sat on my grandmother’s porch studying day and night for me to retake the exam. I went back and passed the test and it was a struggle at first, but I was determined. I soon became an “A & B” student and graduated with two degrees in Accounting and Business Management. I am also a self-taught web/graphic designer. I now understand why they say, "Knowledge is power". I grew a passion for learning and I am constantly educating myself.

The story goes on and on… date rape, homelessness, health issues... Some say when you face obstacles in your life that it’s the devil and other says it is a test of God. I say either way I WILL NOT QUIT. I love life, I love learning, I love and give God total praise. I still have a long way, but when I look back I cannot help but to THANK GOD for bringing me this far. Look at God! Even when things appear to be going wrong, I remember, and trust that God STILL have my back.

MY INSPIRATION

God has blessed us with two sons: Zyair (14) and Zyon (5). My youngest son Zyon has Down syndrome (T21), which has opened my eyes to life... real life. Though both my sons are sources of inspiration in my life, Zyon had opened my eyes to the TRUTH about people and the TRUE meaning of unconditional love. God has bless us with an opportunity to see miracles everyday AND what it means to "have Faith". My boys have changed my perception of life, in a positive way! I wouldn't change a thing.

God has proven to me that all things are possible, if you just TRUST in Him. I started a company, called "Zyonair's Unlimited, LLC" in 2004, which of course was named after my sons, BUILT ON FAITH AND KNOWLEDGE ALONE (no money, no staff) LOOK AT GOD! I decided in gear most of what my company does around promoting positive awareness for those with special needs.

I am currently in school working towards my Masters degree in Marketing.
