About Me

Pet Helpers is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to end the euthanasia of all adoptable cats and dogs by:* providing a safe, loving environment for stray and unwanted animals until they are adopted,* providing the public with financial assistance for spay/neuter and emergency medical care,* participating in humane education programs and,* preserving the welfare and rights of animals by pursuing animal cruelty prosecution and initiating animal welfare legislation. The animals at our shelter can be visited: Monday – Friday from 11:00 am – 6:00pm and Saturday from 11:00am - 5:00pm. ~~~~~~~We are located at 1447 Folly Road on James Island. ~~~~~~~Phone: (843) 795-1110 ~~~~~~~Dog/Puppy adoption fee: $100.00. The adoption fee includes spaying or neutering, the first series of vaccinations, a heart worm test, internal and external parasite control, a collar with leash and microchip. ~~~~~~~Cat/Kitten adoption fee: $100.00. You can also "Double Your Love" and bring home two cats or kittens for only $180.00. The adoption fee includes spaying or neutering, the first series of vaccinations, leukemia testing, internal and external parasite control, a collar and microchip. ~~~~~~~Please visit our website: www.pethelpers.org ~~~~~~~23,000 animals are euthanized in Tri-County shelters every year. That number is twice the national average. The source of the problem? Reproduction. The key to the solution is spay and neuter, and the education necessary to encourage the public to utilize and support our programs. Please take some time to read about these programs and find out how you can help.

The low adoption fee includes vaccinations and the spay/neuter of the animal. We often have puppies and kittens available as well as adult animals. We also have some of our pets for adoption at Petsmart in Mt. Pleasant. Visit them at 676 Long Point Road in Mt.
