Visit the Website; http://www.prisondogsbook.comI'm interested in having anyone who is interested in dogs, rescue and rehabilitation, related subjects and books on related subjects join me here. The book is under development and we'll be posting information, updates and anything else of potential interest. In addition,I'd also like to meet all sorts of print media, TV and radio folks who love great human and canine interest stories. Lots to talk about---and write about here. So, let's see, a few might be---Larry King [I don't think he's done a story on these programs yet]; Nancy Grace, for a follow up on Stacey Lannert's story, to talk about Stacey's work in the prison dog programs; Anderson Cooper--I love the way way he likes to, "Keep'em honest;" Martha Stewart as she spent time in a prison AND loves dogs; and of course, Oprah, the queen of talk, and a true champion for making the world a better place, AND she loves dogs! And, I'd like to talk to anyone who has been involved in the programs, including former inmates who have been paroled.
To me, heroes are people who make a difference in the lives of others. They might be famous or not, and known only to the people they helped. To be a hero is to say "yes" when others might say "no." It means "changing somebody's weather---chasing the clouds out of their sky."
