Speak softly to me - thine eyes sing thru me

About Me

Vocalist for Sirens of Titans - see myspace.com/sirensong or www.sirensofitan.org Action-Figure Collector. Horror and Sci-Fi Movie Nerd. Have done it all I think; Plays, musicals, improv, cable access show, etc. Have a penchant for the unique and obscure. Have dabbled in one form or another in horror, sci-fi, etc. I am weird. I have accepted this and am to a point in my life where I just don't care. However, I am very down to earth and am safe around children and animals. In fact, they like me.
I am 5'2. This means that I get picked up a lot. No, not by suitors. By everyone. LITERALLY. People pick me up. I am small, I am handy and can be stored away conveniently under the bed like a garden gnome or something. Apparently this is confirmation that I am cute; to me it just means that I get air sick alot as my friends and strangers alike attempt to give me air plane rides.
I always take my artistic crap seriously but never myself which is why I will always attempt to bring levity to a room. I am naturally drawn to unique and thoughtful individuals whose artistic and creative sides define them. Though my main interests might categorize the content of my character, I am a walking contradiction because - I am not a dick. I never will be. I embrace the beautiful ecleticism of art, of music, and of expression.
Bands; Red Reign 1991-1994, Tapestry - prog metal 1994-1996, psychobilly band The Infernals 2002-2005, Rockfist 2005, On The Rocks with Earl Root -2006. Now Sirens of Titan.

"Named after the 1959 novel by Kurt Vonnegut, Sirens of Titan slip a few other science-fiction references onto their self-titled debut album, most notably in the Scientology-tweaking 'Thetan Audit.' But their chief interest isn't sci-fi, but sludgy stoner metal in the vein of Sabbath and the Melvins, with guitarist Sam Rhode, drummer Conan Malady and bassist Matt Duffin brewing up a cauldron of noise that is well matched by vocalist Felicia Mitchell, whose tough-girl roar makes her sound like the kind of woman who might not start a bar fight, but could certainly finish it." -The Onion

My Interests

Lead Vocalist SIRENS OF TITAN (www.sirensoftitan.net or myspace.com/sirensong)
Music, horror and sci-fi movies, books, culture, the great outdoors, drawing, painting, black and white photography, artistic crap, Hot-Rods, classic cars, thrift stores, clearance racks, garage sales, comedy and improv, Japanese food & culture, language, parapsychology, Lake Superior and most dark ales.

I'd like to meet:

Creative, artistic, and kind individuals who think outside of the box, who do not color within the lines, who do not base their self-esteem on the latest issue of Cosmo. Who question the world around them and do not settle for the standard, the common, the mainstream and do not gleefully accept whatever safe mediocrity filters in like lemmings. I want to meet those who do not abide by the herd mentality and must have the most expensive, the biggest, the newest, the latest, the hippest, nor the most accessible. I want to meet those who strive for balance, inner-peace, outer-creativity, who are not afraid to don the moniker of "nerd" or "freak" in a society that perpetuates false hierarchies and societal rules of bullshit... Oh and I want to meet Godzilla.

Music:

Metal: Queensryche, Iron Maiden, Priest, Halford, Fear Factory, Muse, Mastodon, Kamelot, Black Sabbath, Brainstorm, Chastain, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Lynn Turner, Nightrage, Machinehead, Megadeth, Nevermore, Ministry, Dream Theatre, In Flames, Opeth, Faith No More, Crisis, Curve, Steve Vai, NIN ,Leather Leone,Razed in Black, Anthrax, Black Label Society, White Zombie, Siouxie & the Banshees, Oingo Boingo, The Cramps, Rev. Great comedies are near a thing of the past as is sketch comedy - a passion of mine. Comedy is second only to Sci-fi/Horror.Though the tragic trainwreck of bad comedy is endearing and close to art form.
