FMXM (For Musicians By Musicians). Unlike the other competitions where you walk away with nothing but bragging rights, this competition is geared towards benefiting the artists. The grand prize is: A full length professionally produced album, 1000 pressed CD’s bar code and shrink wrapping included, a professional photo shoot, as well as $1000 in cash. The second prize is: a 3 song professionally produced demo, a professional photo shoot, as well as $500 in cash. The third prize (Producers Pick) consisting of a professionally produced song and a professional photo shoot. All semi-finalists and finalists will be featured on the FMXM CD compilation showcasing Montréal’s best. Judging is based on (in order of importance); song writing quality, musicianship, stage performance, as well as audience interaction and attendance.
