The Blue Chamber Orchestra, originally named Nuovarmonia, started in Rome in 1995 and is composed of musicians with a variety of musical experience. The inspiration of the ensemble and the main active interest is the dissemination of music by composers who have known how to create a universal language, starting from artistic genius that is clear and popular.In November 1996 The Blue Chamber Orchestra was invited by the Fundacion “Astor Piazzolla“ in Buenos Aires to perform a tourney in Argentina where performances were held, among other places, in the prestigious Teatro San Martin.The ensemble collaborates actively with a number of artists of international fame including: Richard Galliano, Fernando Suarez Paz, Marcelo Nisinman, Hugo Aisemberg, and Gabriele Mirabassi.In Italy the ensemble has performed for numerous associations and music festivals including: “Haus Musik Festival†(Albano Laziale 1995, 1996 e 1999 editions), “Una Noche para Astor Piazzolla†Teatro delle Muse (Rome I edition 1996), “A.GI.MUS†(Sanremo 1996), “XII and XIII Festival Internazionale di Tagliacozzo†(1996 and 1997 editions), “Una Noche para Astor Piazzolla†Universal Cinema-Theatre (Rome II edition 1997), “Accademia Amadeus†(Rome IV edition 1997), “Interamnia classica†(Teramo festival 1997), Liberty Festival (Salsomaggiore 1997), "Festival di Nuova Consonanza" (Rome 1997), “Amici della musica†(Ragusa 1997), “Filarmonica Laudano†(Messina 1997), “Amici della musica Pietro Floridia†(Modica, Ragusa 1997), “Una Noche para Astor Piazzolla†(III Edition Teatro Cynthianum, Genzano di Roma) 1998, “Istituto Italo-Latinoamericano†(Rome 1998 and 1999 seasons), “Associazione musicale Euterpe†(Rome 1999), “Talentango Estate Romana†(Rome 1999), “Genzano Festival†(Un Castello di Suoni 2000), “Città in musica†(Rome Teatro Universal 2000), “Genzano Festival†(Un Castello di Suoni II Edition 2001), “Musica in Giardino†(Rome 2002), “Università di Roma†(2002), “Concerti al Quirinale†(Rome 2003), “Embassy of Brasil†(Rome 2004), "Concerti al Quirinale" (Rome 2006).In November 1999 the ensemble was the guest of the Italian Culture Institute in Innsbruck and Budapest, as well as the Catholic University “Peter Pazmà ny†in Piliscsà ba (Hungary), where it presented a new original program completely dedicated to music written for the cinema of Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota.In April 2001 the ensemble went on tourney in Portugal performing, among other places, in the celebrated Palacio National of Queluz (Lisbon) and at the University of Oporto.In August 2001 the ensemble held a long tourney in Latin America that brought them to the main cities of the "Conosur": Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Santiago del Chile, Tucuman, San Juan, Jujuy, Rosario.The Blue Chamber Orchestra has been invited to perform by the Fundacion Astor Piazzolla, and the Fundacion Victor Jara, in addition to the Mozarteum Argentino, and has performed in the main theaters of Argentina such as the Gran Rex in Buenos Aires, "El Circulo" in Rosario, the Teatro Mitre in Tucuman receiving everywhere unanimous consensus by both the critics and the public.In September 2002, the ensemble was invited to participate in the prestigious Rotuse Festival in Vilnius, and performed concerts in various cities in Lithuania .In November 2002 the ensemble went on tourney in Turkey performing in the main cities of the country: Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara.In 2004 the ensemble was invited to participate in the “39° Festival Demetra†in Salonicco where it performed, among other things, a concert in the Macedonian Studies Theater.The Blue Chamber Orchestra has recorded for Radio Vaticana , Radio Televisione Argentina, Greek TV and Rai. For the latter the ensemble has performed for the program “Radio 3 suite†a number of times; among other pieces, a show completely dedicated to the music from Walt Disney films.The Blue Chamber Orchestra has recorded a tribute to Astor Piazzolla on CD for Tactus Fugit (Rome).
In 2006 the BCO has recorded a new cd "Variations on a theme" with special guest Gabriele Mirabassi.
