We Talk To Clouds But Tell Me Why

About Me

Welsh 4 piece Mea formed in the winter of 2004 and quickly became an established act on their local music scene. Mea then went on to achieve national and international press (live coverage on bridge fm, live sessions and interviews on gtfm 106.9. best welsh unsigned act 2005 at GBOB.com and a top 10 finish for GBOB international.) the band decided to take their music further a field by playing venues which included the University of Reading, The Garage Islington, Brixton Telegraph, The Astoria, Charring Cross, London.
In those 2 years Mea have aspired from a local band with potential to a hard working outfit with promise. With their uniquely melodic yet powerful sound they have not only created their genre but fused it with others to not only appeal to everyone but to inject them with a passion and excitement they thought impossible to feel about a band. Take that and mix it with their explosive live performance you get a well-polished product that is shelf ready and has the potential to sell out venues wherever they play. To conclude in a world of fashion conscious immoral bands, mea breathe a refreshing breeze that not only turns peoples heads but spins them around and keeps their eyes glued to the experience that is Mea..
Recently We recorded 2 new tracks (Mars and Peralappleye). We recorded them at Stir Studios in Cardiff. Our hanks goes out to Paul and Steve for hard work they put into making our songs sound great

Influences: The band has many different influences, as we all as members like different things. to name a few the likes of Led Zeppelin, Guano Apes, A perfect Circle, and jeff Buckley are names you're more than likely to find in our CD collections. there are also some exceptions such as The Mars Volta, Primus, Incubus, Sonic Youth, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Kings Of Leon and even The Distillers that you may trip over on your way to the CD rack.from a musical prospective we've all been in bands before, and our influence as a band is to write our own completely unique style of music. Whether we manifest our "true" style is up to you guys who make this stuff worth doing..;)
Sounds Like: the band has been described by various people as art rock, Female fronted melodic rock, Floydian funk....feel free to give us your opinons :)
