About Me

Hmmm, now- what to put what to put? Should I tell you that I am the best thing since GHD hair straighteners and that one day I shall rule the world or should I be nice and tell the truth? Well today I'm in an alright mood so I guess the truth, for a change, might be a breath of fresh air.
Well I'm a Leeds born lass yet, for the moment at least, I reside in York along with some of the best mates you could ever hope of finding. I sing, write songs, hurl abuse at those who deserve it and burp loudly after a MacDonalds.
I believe gays rule, Britney Spears will make a comeback, football is over rated and that sarcasm is the purest form of humour left in this world. And I believe that if you don't like that then you can get the hell of my page right now. B-bye!
Otherwise, thank you for taking the time to view my page and now we welcome you to the wonderful world of... ME!

We're off to London! We entered "Monty" into a national competition run by Carbon Logic (www.carbonlogic.co.uk) and judged by Finger Lickin' Records (Plump DJ's, Krafty Kuts). We were over the moon to have reached the shortlist, so you can imagine how ecstatic we were when we discovered we won!
Justin Rushmore and Jem Panufnik of Finger Lickin' Records had this to say:
"This track was the clear winner. It had what I look for in a track - vibe, energy and originality. Monty by Grinny Grandad has something that you just can't resist and on a second listen makes you feel that the track is already a classic. I love the female vocals, sassy youthful and quirky, the confident beats, great arrangement and nice touches with the gun shot percussion. I also think that a mix down with Snorkel studios will take this project to an exciting level so all in all great name and very worthy winners."

And these are pics from some of our Grinny gigs. We have done some support and headlining slots in a couple of venues around the UK such as Fibbers, The Junction, City Screen, Cert 18, the VIP room of The Gallery Night Club and Judges Lodgings in York as well as The PM Lounge and The Love Apple in Bradford. You may like to join us when we go back to perform at The Love Apple for the day Festivalala or maybe Bedlam Sound Clash at West Street in Sheffield, both of which take place in September.
And for those of you who didn't already know, feel free to join the Grinny gang on FACEBOOK!
Check out the video done using a Grinny Grandad tune!
At present there are five songs on here. Two of which that I am currently working on with my best friend and partner in crime, Morton (of Grinny Grandad) called Doghouse and Debt Collector. What you think of them is of course entirely up to you but if you like them as I do then great and if it's not to your taste well then I guess I can't please everybody. Nevertheless check em out anyways and see how you feel. That's all for now folks...
