Crosscut Saw are a well established three piece original blues band from Leeds, England. Consisting of powerful front man Alex Eden on vocals, electric guitar and harmonica; Richard Ferdinando on Drums and Tim Crawley on bass.
Their material ranges from exceptional contemporary originals to covers of legends like BB King, Buddy Guy, R.L. Burnside etc.
The band has played all over Britain and Europe, including various blues festivals such as Colne Great Rhythm and Blues Festival, Burnley Blues Festival and Bishops Stock Blues Festival.
Crosscut Saw recorded their first album in 2003 produced by Richard Green [The Somatics, Ultrasound] and sales are going from strength to strength. They receive airplay on UK, American, Spanish, French, South American and Tenerife radio stations.
Alex won the prestigious Blues Musician of the Year in 2003 with D-Marie and the Blues Donor, as a result they were entered into the International Blues Challenge in Memphis USA, and made it to the semi-finals!
With a combined 45 years worth of experience playing with some of the worlds leading musicians; Otis Grand, Sugar Ray, Ian Siegal, King Rollo, Freddy James, Cecil Zinyuku, James OHara, Little Toby Walker, TJ Norton, Bob Hall, The New Mastersounds, The Million Dollar Men and The Haggis Horns to name but a few; Crosscut Saw know how to put on a great show.
It is a really exciting time for the band. They are currently working on a new album, European tours and nationwide gigs, thriving in the current resurgence of blues music internationally.
